"This Coffee is a true sign of hope for the future of Matagalpa and th – GuadalupeRoastery

Through faith and coffee, discover how Matagalpa (the region where we source coffee) connects with the Virgin of Guadalupe and Saint John Paul II. We believe, with God and your help, that this coffee will help the world find lasting peace.

Nine years had passed since Pope John Paul II left the message for Nicaragua and for the world when he said, "God bless this land." He was referring to the site of the Mountain of Peace in Nicaragua. Time marched on and Providence was revealed. A shrine was built on that site and all of Latin America was consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Little by little, St. John Paul II continued his work there and Nicaragua had another beautiful connection with the saint.

On May 17, 2015, the blood of Pope John Paul II visited the Mountain of Peace Shrine on the shoulders of Fr. John Anthony (pictured below). The day was a very spiritual day, and the Lord granted much consolation and joy to the Nicaraguan Church.

After this visit, the Vatican would assign a relic to the Mountain of Peace; it was the Pope's hair.  The locals found it curious as there is a local legend related to Hair of the Virgin (to be shared in a future email).

That same year (2015) the Vatican would assign the relic of the hair of Saint John Paul II to the Mountain of Peace Shrine. During this day, thousands and thousands of people venerated the relic of the beloved pope, saying, "John Paul the Second, the whole world loves you."

The word "mountain," in the Mountain of Peace Shrine; refers to creating a great mountain of people around peace. This movement was born in the heart of Pope John Paul II with the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The day the Relic arrived at the San Pedro Cathedral in Matagalpa, thousands of parishioners venerated the relic of Pope John Paul II

This coffee is a true sign of hope for all those who drink it. The reason is that this coffee was born from the inspiration of the Virgin of Guadalupe. She is "The Woman who crushes the head of the Serpent" and with the help of Saint John Paul II, we are building a civilization of love, every time you buy this coffee.

God bless you.
