Our Farmers

Beginning with farmers Rolyn and Lorena Garcia in Nicaragua, Guadalupe Roastery has always been a Farmer First Organization that is now actively pursuing direct trade relationships with farmers around the world. Paying .80c + more per pound than Fair Trade and forging a new type of relationship with coffee farmers, Guadalupe Roastery looks to empower farmers to support themselves, their families, and their communities by forming a partnership. One day, we hope to be partnering with as many coffee growers as they can in order to bring families and communities out of poverty, while offering the highest quality coffee beans from around the world.

Roland's Farm in Matagalpa, Nicaragua

Beginning with Rolyn and Lorena Garcia in Nicaragua, Guadalupe Roastery is now actively pursuing direct trade relationships with farmers from around the world. Paying around 80+ Cents More Per Pound Than Fair Trade and forging a new type of relationship with coffee farmers.

Rolyn, Lorena, and their farmers have completed a house, started a bed for the bedless program, a literacy program, and a chicken coop thanks to your commitment to their coffee.

Since being introduced to the Roland and Lorena in 2018 Guadalupe has purchased over 50,000 pounds of coffee which is being used to support the local community.

Lake Victoria, Uganda

Uganda is Africa’s up-and-coming specialty-coffee powerhouse. Improvements in farming and processing are helping the region surge past socio-economic hurdles that have historically held this coffee origin back. Upgrades in quality and new washing stations are also having a substantial impact on the lives of the smallholder farmers who produce the coffee.

Since being introduced to our Ugandan farming family in 2020 Guadalupe has been working closely with the farmers to help them get an exporting license to the United States.

"El Recreo" in Minca, Magdalena, Colombia

"El Recreo" farm is a beautiful story about perseverance and hard work. Three generations ago, the Balaguera family emigrated into the Sierra Nevada. With love and passion for the land, each generation has improved the growing methods and techniques bringing a unique flavor and aroma to the coffee, without losing the main focus of growing all-natural, sustainable, and environmental conservation. These methods have become fundamental in the development of the Sierra Nevada coffee culture.

Since being introduced to the "Recreo" farmers in 2020 Guadalupe has purchased thousands of pounds of coffee which is being used to support the local community.
