Too Much Starbucks present in this one

I am a dark coffee connoisseur, though the term "dark" is meaningless without crack details. Second crack is the point where the bean structure breaks a second time. The sugars that survived first crack start to carbonize. Past that point the bean is no longer developing flavor. It is burning what is left. The oils that break the surface are the same oils that go rancid. That is the ash, the charcoal, the “Starbucks” bite. A drum can go past second crack and stay sweet if the operator drops at the start of second crack and cools fast. A “dark” that tastes like ash was held too long, too hot, or both. This seems to be happening here. The PIO, however, is very good and I'd recommend that all day long before this.

Tastes great. I wish it was third party tested for mycotoxins, etc.

Great Coffee

I love the richness of these fresh beans and the fact that when I'm enjoying a cup of 3 Kings Dark Roast mixed with Altura, i'm helping local farmers in 3rd world countries directly improve their families' lives.
