Our Farmers
Our story began in 2018 with one family: Rolyn and Lorena Garcia, coffee farmers in Central America. We bought their coffee directly, paid a fair price above the commodity market, and saw what that price could do for a family and a village.
From there the family grew, harvest by harvest. Today our coffee comes from Guadalupe Farms, our own farm in Central America, and from Catholic coffee-farming families in Latin America. That is Catholic Trade: 100% of our margin goes back into the farmers and the local communities where our coffee is grown.

Roland’s Farm in Central America — Where Our Story Began (2018)
Rolyn and Lorena Garcia were our first farming family. In 2018 we started buying their coffee directly and paying a fair price above the commodity market, instead of the price set by the commodity exchange.
Rolyn, Lorena and their farmers have completed a house, started a bed-for-the-bedless program, a literacy program and a chicken coop thanks to your commitment to their coffee.
They taught us how Catholic Trade works: one family at a time, one harvest at a time.
Catholic Trade: A Catholic Economy
What we learned with Rolyn and Lorena became our way of doing business: a Catholic economy in the spirit of Rerum Novarum, the 1891 encyclical of Pope Leo XIII. A fair price for the harvest, dignified work, families who keep their land, and a company that measures itself by the common good.
Along the way we bought harvests from other Catholic families in Central America, and each one taught us the same lesson: when the price is fair, the whole village feels it.
Guadalupe Farms: Our Own Farm in Central America
Today our coffee comes from Guadalupe Farms, our own farm in Central America, and from lots grown by Catholic coffee-farming families in Latin America: coffee from the region, bought directly, with no middlemen. Our signature lot cups at 84 points on the SCA scale (specialty grade) and our special lots reach up to 89.
Every bag is Traceably Catholic — made by Catholics, for Catholics, from the Catholic farm to your table — roasted on demand at origin, and 100% of our margin goes back into Catholic Trade: reinvested in the farmers and the local communities where our coffee is grown.
