Why buy your coffee from us
Seven reasons, none of them a coupon.
Most coffee brands buy green coffee from an importer, roast it somewhere, and put a label on it. We grow it, we roast it, and we can show you every hand it passed through.
01
We grow it.
Guadalupe Farms is our own 40-hectare farm in the mountains of Nicaragua, with plantations we restored ourselves. The rest of our coffee comes from Catholic farming families we buy from directly: no brokers, no blending house, no commodity market. When you open a bag, you can know the family behind it.
02
We are the roaster.
Guadalupe Roastery started on December 3, 2015, the day we bought our first roaster. Today our roaster can handle up to 1,000 pounds a day, which means nothing has to be roasted ahead of time. We roast for your order, not for a shelf.
03
Roasted on demand. Never warehoused.
Coffee is at its best in the weeks after roasting, and most supermarket bags are months old before you open them. Your order triggers the roast, the bag is packed, and it ships close to the roast date. That is the whole difference between fresh coffee and coffee that was fresh once.
04
Scored, graded and stated.
Every lot is cupped on the SCA 100-point scale before it earns a place in our lineup. Our signature coffee scores 84, our special lots 87 to 89, and we roast the 2026 Gold Cup champion lot. If a coffee does not score, we do not roast it.
05
Traceably Catholic, end to end.
The families who grow the coffee, the farm where it is grown and the roastery that roasts it are Catholic, and every link between them can be traced. That is what we mean by a traceably Catholic supply chain: you can follow the value from your cup back to the person who did the work, and it stays with them.
06
100% of our margin goes back.
The families are paid a fair price for the harvest, and the roastery’s margin is reinvested in Catholic Trade with them: work, land, equipment and opportunity at origin. Not charity. A supply chain built so that the people who do the work keep the value.
07
Fresh at your door, on your schedule.
Subscribers get their first delivery 30% off with code ROSARY30, then 9% off every delivery, choose the frequency, and can change, pause or cancel anytime. Because a subscription lets us plan the roast, it is also where the coffee is freshest. And every subscription delivery sends a rosary to someone in need in Nicaragua, through the Franciscan communities who serve at origin.
